TAT Classroom Programs aligned with NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) and Oregon State Standards
Talk About Trees Primary Classroom Programs and Intermediate Classroom Programs have been updates. All our programs are now aligned with NGSS and Oregon State Science and Social Studies Standards.
Summer Classroom Programs
As the school year is winding down, we are scheduling a limited number of Classroom Programs for the summer. Facilitators are available to visit summer school classes, day camps, overnight camps and other summer programs. We are also available to participate in summer festivals, providing hands on activities for children.
Summer time is also the time that TAT teaching materials and curriculum are revised. This summer, the Primary Classroom Programs will be updated. Stay tuned for new materials that will be available on the website by September, 2016.
Happy New Year!
2015 brought many exciting changes for Talk About Trees, Oregon.
In March, a new Forest Careers Classroom Program was introduced and it has been very well received by teachers. We also had several facilitators retire, or move on to new endeavors. We will miss Linda Brodeur, Laurie Hayden Melissa Jackman and Sandy Reid. Collectively, they represented more than 50 years teaching the TAT Classroom Program! We have replaced these veteran educators with wonderful, diverse, energetic teachers. We welcome Heidi Heidig in Southern Oregon, Tammie Milkes, Jenn Scott, Lisa Wilcke in the Portland Metro area and Anna Morgan in Eastern Oregon.
